We have some exciting news for you all:

Prezi is going public

First, thank you all for your kind support to help us launch Prezi. Your stories and dedication has helped us fix many bugs. On April 5, Prezi will go fully public. You won’t need to wait and apply for beta, you can use Prezi right away. If you have enjoyed the past months with us, please help us and spread the word next Monday. We have attached a short release text for you to forward.

Your Beta Account
On April the 5th if you don’t already have a Pro license, your account will change:
You will go into “Trial” mode which means that you can do 3 more Prezis before you will have to choose between a free or two paid licenses. All your existing presentations will stay intact.

Server will be offline for 2 hours on Sunday
On April 5, at 04:00 am New York time, 01:00 am Los Angeles time, 10:00 am CET
Prezi.com will go through maintenance, and will not be available for about two hours.

Release Party
We want to celebrate the release together with You! You are invited on April 9 to our release party. We can help you find a hotel if you need advice. We’ve been working hard day and night, so you can count on a blast!

Practical Information

We’ll have the party on April 9 at Tripla (www.triplacafe.hu Kiralyi Pal st. 6, Budapest) our local bar where we hang out every week.

- We are inviting a lot of you, and not everyone will fit in the place, so first come first serve basis. The first 150 gets a spot.

Prezi – The Zooming Presentation Editor

Prezi changes the way you think about presentations. It lets you arrange your ideas and images on a large canvas, where you can zoom around to show details and overview. And it is still very simple to use. Hear what others say about us:

  1. Should I ask about getting a “Pro License” or hold on until the new update?

It has really helped our non-profit tell our story about creating jobs in our community.

    Thanks,
    robert

Well I’ll have my first full presentation done by April 5th, so we’ll see how that flys when I showcase it. I’m still learning all the tricks.

Haven’t seen info on how to obtain a pro account. As a Beta user, I’d sincerely appreciate a discount for the first year though ;-)

Not anywhere near Budapest, but happy to raise a drink in a virtual toast across the pond. Cheers to you on this excellent new tool! Keep zooming on!

  6. Evan Herreid says:

    Dear Sir or Madam,

I have really enjoyed using Prezi since I recently saw the site demo at an educational technology conference. I have created a number of Prezi’s and have shown them to groups as well as have gotten my co-workers involved with the site and signed up for accounts.
With the site going public, what will the price point be for the Pro account? Also will there be a modified version available for Educators at a reduced cost or possibly at a no fee cost?

Thank you in advance for your assistance,

    Evan Herreid

  7. Silvia says:

Thanks for such good news. I want to integrate the team PREZI. I would like to incorporate the Spanish option.
Prezi use to teach my students. It is very interesting.
    Congratulations!!

    I leave you a comment:
    - The red letter in the template could not be black.
    - There are templates that can not be written with accents, Ñ, (points of Spanish)

    - Can incorporate videos? and music?

Sorry if I wrote wrong in English, I speak only Spanish.

This is great news. I kept on trying to get a beta request in today after seeing this used at the Web 2.0 Expo today.

Great product, looking forward to Sunday.

  16. David Hill says:

I came to Prezi late, but because I have been using Flash since it was V3 (about 1996) I had no problems whatsoever learning your program as it seems to be entirely vector based. My favorite feature is the ability to upload Flash video FLV … this is wonderful. I have no idea what you will be charging for the full-public program, but I am certain I will be talking my bosses into keeping this amazing web app.

  18. Monkey says:

It makes me very proud that my fellas from Hungary did sg that the world is wondering at. I am an engineer (with some straightforward thinking) from origin but I could build a Prezi within 5 hours (this is included videos, some digging on the web, etc.). I remember learning the other software. The learning cruve was a lot longer. And it is so much fun…
The next one took only 12 minutes…
Guys, keep on developing. The vision is right but there is a ton of features missing. I do not know how to keep it simple and professional at the same time but do your best.
I hope can make to the party.

  19. Alexander Wallberg says:

Aaah,.. working on a presentation for tomorrow and the preziteam keeps extending the downtime. Damn!

  20. adam says:

Sorry Alexander, working hard hard hard…

  21. Marius says:

    Hello dear Prezi-team!
How are we doing? Is the downtime closing to an end? :) Please give us a heads-up.
    Thanx for your hard work!

  22. GR says:

I’m having prezi withdrawal symptoms; cold sweats, checking every 5 minutes to see if the server is back up, looking at my watch constantly, imagining my prezi in my mind, doing all sorts of things to it – and then realizing that unless I am actually making changes to the one on the server (rather than the one in my mind) that changes aren’t saved.

Please – bring my prezi back to me!! SOON! :)

I have a presentation tomorrow and I need to work on my prezi tonight!@

  23. adam says:

    Hi All,

sorry it tool longer than expected… but we are up and running :)

and still some smaller bugs you might find here and there today, tomorrow…

Sok sikert a fejlesztéshez!

  26. Viviana Betancur says:

    Hello Prezi team,

First at all congratulations for this fantastic idea. We are a group of studens from the National University of Colombia. We would like to try prezi ones, to show our teachers how well this work to make presentations. The idea is to get some money from them to buy prezi for the university and then this tool can we enjoy for others students at the university too.

We don’t have any idea if does exist a tool online to do this, like a free version. We appreciate any information about it.
