The style switcher feature is now ready and online. Just open a prezi, or start creating a new one using your online editor or the offline version, Prezi Desktop. You will notice that the editing interface has been upgraded. Now you have all the different Prezi styles available just a click away while working. We believe that a more customizable tool means more freedom, so don’t ever think we stop right here… Oh, and a little gift for movie fans: we have installed the super cool wipe transition effect to this feature, you will notice when switching between styles. This is the one that has first been used by Japanese movie director Kurosawa, then became famous in the Star Wars episodes.
Important notice: This update will automatically download for the Desktop Editor users as well. Don’t forget to login at least once in order to fetch all styles again from our servers. Once you have successfully logged in, you’ll be able to choose styles in the editor.
Thanks for your all your comments, tweets, and emails during the past weeks you have posted for the test version. Please continue to share your thoughts!

Awesome! this is prefect! thank you so much.
jó napot magyarországra!
Great feature.
I try to make something really freaking graphically strange in prezi with vectors but there must be a method of control the cam. For example, small zoom at first and faster between elements. Or to make a path on that the cam goes over some objects…Yes I know it goes beyond the scope of it.
Maybe an expert mode to activate!?
Köszönjük, Jó napot neked is!
We’ve already started to think about this feature. A customized camera option is absolutely on our list. If you want special features, our dev team is open for discussion. Thanks for your comment!
gracias, espero respuesta.

Since I am new to Prezi, the Style Changer seems like it’s always been there. When I was going through the tutorials, all I could think about was how I could control the styles of the text – font, weight, color, etc. If complete controls to create your own styles isn’t immediately forthcoming, could there be an additional revenue stream for Prezi by offering to create custom (with the option to make public or exclusive) styles for Pro customers?
Using the trial version for the first time with a relatively large image that seemed well suited to Prezi’s zooming feature. Ran into problems everywhere, including:
1) offline editor doesn’t seem to support .pdf imports
2) the image I am loading in is 7MB as a jpg, any less and it’s blurry when zoomed in. I’ve tried this every way possible and Prezi will only load a version that’s around 3MB — so blurry it is! The 7MB version loads and all you see is a black box.
3) Out of 3 versions of a .pdf of my image, only one would load. The file sizes are small in .pdf, less than 200K each but in Adobe reader… the image is super clear.
4) Prezi’s offline editor has some kind of zooming bug. If you create frames or focus on certain objects it zooms in so you see only part of the object, even text. Defeats the purpose… I finally figured out that if you close the app and start it up again, the zooming works. Strange bug.
5) Half the time, Prezi zooms into my image (into a frame) and at the end of the zoom, all you see is grey!!! Zoom out a bit and the image suddenly appears. You’re in the right spot, just Prezi won’t show the image… it chooses how far to zoom in so I’m powerless to get it to do something that’s actually helpful.
I really like the idea of this editor. The execution, seems really buggy.
This means you can delete this from /manual:
“You can share it as well. For the moment, you can not change colors and fonts after a Prezi is created. (this will be fixed soon)”
Cool!
Loving this! great how we can now easily change!
I really love this tool, but as one of the previous posters mentions fonts are very important. We have a corporate font and need to use it in any presentation, so pre-set ones won’t work. I haven’t tried cutting and pasting from “Pages” yet, but I thought I would mention this as a real issue for any corporate use. Also, sme kind of crop tool would help, that way I can upload a PDF of the text in the font I like and then could cut away the extra ’slide’ space.
Really want to use this
Hi, I love the style switcher and only wish for more customization options. I would love to change the color of the background, size/style/font of the text, and embed videos without having to download them from youtube.
All these are coming Hassan
Several of the “showcase” prezi’s have a different color background or contain animations that are not videos. How is this accomplished? Is this a user feature or just a developer’s privilege?
Hi,
Some of the example prezis were made with previous versions of the tool that contained some styles that does not exist anymore. If you can send me the link of the prezi you are talking abut I would be happy to explain how the animation had been created in there. All in all, there are no “developer privileges” in Prezi that we publish online as unreachable eye-candies for our users of course
The animation you talk about can be some after effect created by a video editor software or a flash animation in .swf format which is absolutely ok with prezi.
I am running this on Snow Leopard in Safari and offline. Either way, there are too many bugs to count. The main bugs are these:
1. Sometimes gets stuck in zooming mode… you move the mouse and it zooms in and out no matter what you click on or try. The only way to get out of this is to save, exit, and reenter.
2. The little “tick” that is supposed to show which way is up doesn’t show up with all of the types of frames.
3. Sometimes images and frames get stuck… you can’t select them, edit them, delete them, or attach a path to them.
4. When zooming in from a large image, it flashes like crazy until you get to a stationary point on the path… could cause seizures, lol. Seriously… it just looks amateur.
These bugs are so major that I don’t think I can create my first Prezi and use it as an assignment as I was hoping to.
Am I doing something wrong???
