Prezi team proudly presents the tech pre-release of our new embed feature. From now on, you can embed any public presentation to your blog or website. The result will look like this:
Embedded Prezi with simple navigation mode
Looks cool, huh? And there’s more:
We have two new features built especially for embedding:
- simple navigation mode: Viewers can only follow the path created by you (the owner of the prezi), no matter where he or she clicks inside the embed window. This simple walkthrough helps to deliver your message instantly. Do you find this useful? Give it a try, and have your comment!
- autoplay: One button magic. Press, sit back, and enjoy the show. Your prezi steps forward every 10-20 seconds. Do you like it that way? If you want, we can add adjustable timing of course.
Click more button and press Autoplay: Prezi plays automatically
So why is this so important?
We believe that the embed feature opens new perspectives for the Prezi user. A must have feature in the 2.0 universe, however we have taken this step quite slowly. Why? Because Prezi has been built to be an illustration tool, staying in the background, helping to tell stories. It was the presenter, who stood in the spotlight and controlled.
A new chapter now opens in Prezi history. We introduce Prezi as an interactive, zooming media tool that can deliver stories online, where viewers become controllers and spotlight is easy to share. Give this new Prezi a try, play around and comment your experiences!

Nice and fast. Works as a dream with tumblr and iWeb.
Simple navigation it’s great. Don’t have to explain anything at all about navigation.
This is great. The new embed feature is an important advance. I plan to use Prezi to create materials for the courses that I teach here at Portland State University (Portland, Oregon). My course websites have weblogs as the home page; it’s where I put questions to guide my students’ reading, where I call attention to important biopolitical news, and–now–where I will place Prezi presentations of information and ideas.
It would be useful if the timing were adjustable…and, in the long run, it would be even more useful if it was possible to control each step separately (I know that’s asking for a lot).
I noticed that in the parachuting prezi, there is no way to control the video clip, since every click on the video controls toggles a forward/backward-step. Reducing the zones for these actions could solve this, i guess.
we are just working on fixing this issue. Tomorrow I hope we can release the first test version of improved video player.

I’d prefer that you show the first view on start vs. a random scene. Also looking forward to timing specify to an individual view. Great work!
Dear Kevin,
You are right. Capturing the starting view is on our todo list. Now we show not a random view but an overview picture. At this moment (answering your comment) I’ve just figured out how to solve path based timing. I’m excited.

Works a treat – fantastic feature. Timings – I think you can specify on the code generator whether the user clicks for each scene change, to avoid a set timing. Embeds fine in ning and wikispaces.
[...] Prezi is a non linear online presentation tool. I have found it to be really useful for presenting “How to do’s” for staff PD and students. When it first came out it was only available online which made you vulnerable to connection issues. However, you can now download your presentation and run it off your computer. The beauty of having your presentation online is that you can share the link with the rest of the world. Prezi will now give you some HTML code so you can embed your presentation into your blog. This embedding feature is really exciting!!!
I prefer showing the first view vs a random view as the screenshot.
I prefer simple navigation over the autoplay, but would appreciate the option of being able to move the prezi around and explore, click elements to zoom, use the mouse scroller to zoom in and out, just like you can when viewing the normal show. Seems like this is working right now… awesome!!
Just noticed that when you use the mouse wheel to zoom, prezi zooms in and out as expected, but the browser window also moves up and down. This happens when the cursor is both within the embedded window, or outside of it. It would probably be better if scrolling zooms in/out while the cursor is inside the prezi window and doesn’t zoom when outside of the prezi window.
Tony thanks for your notice and comment!
This is great! I am happy that the full screen option is enabled since we have used prezi for multi-layer data and w.o being able to go to full screen you wouldn’t be able to see the “iconification” of some of our data.
Any thought about making it easier to make inserted objects directly hyperlinked as opposed to having to enter additional text? This feature, particularly in embed, would allow you to use Prezi as “value add” navigation tool inside the browser.
Embed isn’t working on Firefox 3.5 for Windows XP (at least not for me)
Steven, could you add some more details, an error message or a screenshot? What exactly happens? Thanks.
I’d also prefer that you show the first view on start vs. a random scene.
Also noticed that in Autoplay the navigation buttons are present. Once you click on one in an embedded presentation (f.i. ‘back’) the autoplay never gets back ‘on’ and scrolling the page also scrolls the Prezi. I’d change the buttons to only previous/next like in Simple Navigation and have the autoplay pick up where it left. Or a bit nicer: display a pause icon (in the bottom right for instance) and have autoplay return if a user clicks this button.
This is just awesome! I do keep wondering about the reverse… I want to embed a web page I code inside of prezi… any chance?
Trav, right now we don’t have developments regarding to what you have mentioned. Interesting though, thanks!
Fabulous! I have a bunch of Pezis I’ve been wanting to post, but didn’t want to have to create videos from scratch.
The next thing I really need is an easy way to make “handouts” of these presentations. I know I can do screen caps, but I want an automated way of doing so. Ideas?
Karen, we have already started to work on a print feature, that creates a pdf file out of your prezi. So keep in touch!
I love the embed. I vote for the ability to add a specific time to each frame. Some frames will require more time than others.
The other features is to link to web images or video. I want to display the current radar and satellite image for a weather presentation. Thanks.

I need a way to distribute a presentation, but not make it public. For use inside a company, I’ve made and shown a presentation but I need to share it with others. Just not public. It would be great if we could make a standalone version that didn’t require such.
Hi, we are working on a very easy one click solution of this. Till then you can share your prezi for edit with collaborators, who also have an account, while your prezi is not public.
I can’t see the navigation buttons in Simple Navigation. I want to make it full screen for presentation and can’t. Is there a way to do this? can’t post the website because it isn’t live yet. Sorry.
embedd not working on wordpress.com surprise surprise…
I love prezi and I think the new embed feature is awesome. I would imagine I’m not the first person to suggest this, but I think the one missing link for the embed feature to be totally awesome on a web page would be the ability to upload an audio track that you could sync the path to. That would really allow your story teller to get embedded along with the visual presentation. I think prezi + audio would = world wide prezi domination on the web. Congratulations on your amazing creation!

Thanks for such a great tool. Just found Prezi this afternoon and have enjoyed playing to set up a brief presentation. Great that I can embed it in my blog(s). My class will be able to refer back to whenever the need occurs.
Did have a little trouble getting jpegs to upload – kept telling me to check my internet connection. Will try again away from school and possible firewalls, but is this a known problem??
Thanks Again

Hallo
You are quick on development, please do not leaf the people behind you that are old. I have requested the help Questionmark in showmode “VIEW”
some of my friends, spetially dogs and cats need it, because the bugging me by questions………..how do I navigate.
d3dhemmer, wouldn’t simple navigation shown above solve this issue?
If I have a Pro account, can I suppress the prezi logos?
My feedback:
- Excellent progress in this area.
- I want to be able to host the underlying .swf file or some version of the actual content. I don’t want to be dependent on third-party storage or management of my content. Is this in the works?
- I don’t mind the Prezi logo at the beginning, as the presentation is loading, but I don’t want the huge one in the lower left covering up my content. I do want people to adopt Prezi, but not at the expense of content. Let our great presentations be your advertising – not your logo.
- There are a couple places where I’ve put text in a group on top of another graphic. This text is not rendering correctly – it is missing the background and is therefore not legible. I may be able to work around this in future presentations.
- Keep up the good work.
Please do allow us to change the 10 second auto advance setting as well. For some of my content, 10 seconds isn’t enough.
Just got word of Prezi yesterday. Could potentailly be presentation standard if you can remove some of the unrealistic pricing.
15.9EUR for 3 months? Do you know cheaper?
Not good enough!
I think the blur on the splash frame makes the presentation look as it is in really low resolution. Does not look good. Once clicked the giant logo is still visible, even though I am a paying customer. Also the navigation arrows in simple navigation mode overlays the content and makes it easy to miss details.
I would love if you could combine the new features with the standard it would be the best: Simple navigation setting with the normal arrows and a setting to skip the blue prezi frame.
Otherwise – keep up the good work
Dear gavs,
some good news

Great addition!
Hi,
Great tool….works brilliantly and looks fantastic.
But is the content of the embedded Prezi searchable?
i.e. we need our blog entry content to be searchable…. for example in Wordpress.
Brgds,
AJO
hi we are working on that part as well. takes a little more time though.

Wonderful
I am fan !
Hi !
Great works indeed !!
Is the licensed version include prezi.com logo or is it unbranded ?
Thank you
Paying customers get non-branded prezis they can download or show – however, embedded prezis for the moment will have a logo.
Also, our splash / loader screen has a logo.
I love not only the product, but the level of involvement you have here with the users. I use Prezi in my “Web-Based Resources for Teaching Learning” course at Arcadia University. There’s a good chance that I’ll also use it when creating the orientation for new online students, thanks to this embed feature!
I’m sure you’ve thought about it, but I just wanted to let you know that I’d love to have the click-able stuff be click-able over the simple navigation. For example, URLs come to mind first.
I’ll be checking back here often for everyone’s ideas and your responses! Love it!
i hope in the next release (in Sept) you will be able to click some object. Especially video pause button

Do you intend to add a counter in order that we know how many times our presentation were displayed ?
Thiw would be a good pomoting functionnality for Preizy because it demonstrates wih figures that your product makes popular presentations (and not only surprising & popular ones)
I’d like to have an option which allow to see the first step of the path instead of the global prezi as the image to be displayed in the embedding result.
This is very good! Love it love it!
I would like to embed and share without it being included in the public showcase on this site. I see lots of people gripe about this, so I would think you would allow the option to exclude from the showcase.
Tried FF and Safari, and can’t get the generator to work.
Now we have the final version of Prezi embed. Please enter any prezi URL and try out the code on the new public prezi page!
Will it be possible to include audio? I mean as a speaker’s voice (not included in a video clip)…
Thank you for your suggestion. While we can not promise anything specific, we regularly consider ideas, input from users.
I wanted to embed prezi in my blog, but when I copied it to the post, it says: “This prezi doesn’t exists”. How can I fix the bug? I have a public account.
hi,
Maybe your prezi has not been published yet. please send us the URL of it!
looks realy nice and is working very well on my site. However I would like to embed it without the prezi logo in the left corner. I’ve upgraded so I could use my presentations without a logo. Any suggestions?
thanks
Like Tamas, I’m not able to embed my presentation. It’s published, but nothing happens when I paste the code into my Google sites page or any Moodle page. I just wait and wait and wait … It’s not biting.
While I’m here, could I make a request?
It would be great if we could embed videos into our presentation rather than have to download, sometimes convert and then upload to Prezi. It seems odd to waste all those embed codes created by all the video sites.
Thanks in advance!
Hi,
I’m having the same problem. my prezi is published, but when I use the widget and embed in my blog, it says not available. Here’s the prezi link:

Hi,
I have tried to embed your prezi and it went like a charm. I haven’t experienced any difficulties with it. This must be related with customizing the code or the blog engine you use.
Can you configure embed to open fullscreen from the beginning of the presentation? I also second the suggestion to be able to add a voice layover for each step in a path.
No, this is not possible, since embed is generally used to appear as content on a site. About voice over: it’s possible to add voice to a prezi in .flv format. Please see a really good example here: http://prezi.com/it1-dnrxkiwk/
