This Sunday we have upgraded the license page, and made some core changes: (Log in and check the site here, or click here if you are new to Prezi).

  1. Prezi payment is now recurring. This means your annual subscription renewal is automatic until you decide to unsubscribe. You can unsubscribe at any time (This does not affect existing subscriptions).
  2. You can now pay with your credit card for a Prezi license too (earlier, users could only pay with an existing PayPal account).
  3. Public and Enjoy subscribers can now try out the Prezi Desktop software for 30 days without any limitations (when the trial period expires, you won’t be able to access the desktop editor, unless you upgrade. You can of course access to your online Public or Enjoy accounts, and show prezis exported from the desktop during the trial period).
  4. Our subscription prices are now in US Dollars
  5. Subscription period is now one year for both paying accounts. For both paying accounts the first 30 days are free of charge (your credit card will only be charged on the 30th day of use).

We hope you find the new page nice and easy to use. So why don’t you give it a try and upgrade now?

Hi … where is the link to download the Editor trial?

  2. Narr Prezi says:

    Well, I will tell you.

The chances of signing up for a recurring credit charge from Eastern Europe are: slim to none.

With all due sympathy, this is an exceptionally bad financiomarketer idea.

Do you really think we believe in security protecting our credit cards?

Be very sure you don’t remove micropayment – i.e. Paypal, little as I like them either.

  3. RichardL says:

    HI …

Where do I download the trial version of Prezi Desktop from?

    Thanks
    Richard

p.s. your prices are really too high, as well. $50 for the full version with off-line composing would be more realistic. Be careful you don’t mistake first interest for longterm longevity’s realism. I hope the thought helps, and put it in since you are moderating what anyone might say about this financial business. A realistic, fair return wins, yes?

When you open your My page, you will see a download link in the left sidebar of your screen.

I thinks the price is too high for students in college. In college, we don’t quite use the PPT everyday, since there are Maximum two uses per course. I intend to use it, but I only use it a few times. It ’s better for pay per use, or have some students price. This will attractive more students to use this excited product.

by the way, i am impressed by prezi and just saw from class other classmates use it.

Hi, thanks for your feedback! Please keep in touch, I can see something coming for you soon! :)

I was disappointed to learn that, if I’m reading it correctly, your renewal happens on the same day each year for everyone.

It appears I was charged $59 on December 3rd and will again be charged $59 on January 2nd 2010 and every January 2nd thereafter. Am I right? Am I being charged $59 now and $59 again in a month and then every year after that?

If so, this is not, in my opinion, the way to do business. It would seem to me the fair way to do it, if indeed the auto-renewal has to happen on January 2nd, would be to prorate my December payment down to $5 (one month), and then kick in with $59 next month and every January thereafter.

Please shoot me an e-mail if you would. I’d really like to better understand this. Thanks.

Firstly, have to say that I’m a huge fan – however it’s a shame that you charge a yearly upfront fee and don’t allow monthly recurring payments. I have to agree with some of the other posters, and would look forward to your thoughts on the matter.

    Thanks guys,

Hi, we have created this system because we think this is the best way to own a prezi license continuously without monthly headaches of billing and charging. We also realised that a one year period is the ideal choice for many of our users, though it is obvious that we cannot fulfill the needs of every single individual. You can cancel the recurring payment at any time and can try the Pro account for free for 30 days.

Hi, possibly this post may be off topic but anyways, Having gone browsing around your website and it seems extremely great. It’s obvious you know your subject and you are fervent about it. I’m building a fresh blog plus I’m striving to make it look good, and offer high quality subject matter. Having gleaned much at your site in addition to I anticipate even more quality information and will be returning soon. Thanks.

    For # Zoli

    You have realised that?

Well, did you run a customer survey for opting the payment method/billing cycle they prefer the most?

Most users prefer trials/monthly billings, and won’t pay upfront the yearly fee.

Why did you change your plans?

I, for example, wanted to get as a pro members, but won’t, since there’s no monthly billing anymore.

That’s bad business in my experience.

    Hi,
when we have changed our licensing system, we had two things in our minds.

    1. To provide an extended trial period without limitations for everyone with the possibility of cancelling the account at any time, so if they cancel before the end of the free period, they will not be charged.

    2. To provide a recurring system, where our users don’t need to worry about paying for the tool every 4 weeks.

This kind of recurring payment system is quite popular on the web with SaaS models. I understand that for some users it’s better to have a monthly payment method, but we did not want to make our licensing system more complicated by adding too much possibilities. I hope you can find the best solution as well. Anyway, I am happy to support you with your account of choice at any time!

    Hi there.

Firstly however i loved this application even though haven’t used it much. I am about to let it go…

I am fairly sure that it was a bad decision to change the payment method to yearly subscription. I am willing to pay upfront for a year when i use something every day and day by day but it is a huge misunderstanding to expect that I should pay for something that i can barely use as I am assuming to make presentation every single day would be an extreme use of this system.
Its not my business, i just wanted to let you know.

Just think about it. I can pay hundred something dollars, and i would but to force me to pay upfront this much well, it is a kind of offensive and pointless behavior…

    P.s
exuse me for my french but i think that is a kind of BS to say”our users don’t need to worry about paying for the tool every 4 weeks. ”

i can imagine how big worry could be there to renew the subscription when its needed. (lol. worry about renewing the subs in every 4 weeks?????? obviously there is no such a thing as it takes 3 clicks )
    have a nice one.

  15. Zoli Radnai says:

We are sorry to learn that our new recurring payment model does not fit you. We have made this decision after analyzing our market, and other working models. If you are a rare user of Prezi our Public license may fit you the best with 30 days of free desktop editor.

  16. Donna Anderson says:

I just signed up for the EDUPro. Does this mean I am not charged for the first 30 days? After the 30 days I am charged the $59? Billing seems a little confusing.

  17. Just signed up. Prezi is awesome! Thank you.

  18. Zoli Radnai says:

yes. first 30 days free. After this you’ll get a notification email, and your recurring payment schedule starts. You will be charged 59USD. If you cancel your subscription within the first 30 days, you will be charged nothing.
