A teacher’s success with Prezi at TEDIndia

Wednesday, November 4th, 2009

We have introduced the class of Rob Newberry, a Canadian teacher working at the Ramrudee International School in Bangkok before. He started using Prezi for education a few months ago, and made it the native story telling tool for his students since. He is also open to share his experiences and thoughts with us and fellow prezi authors on various social networks at any time. So we were happy but not very surprised to learn that Rob has successfully submitted his topic to this year’s TEDIndia, where he delivered his talk about technology in the classroom a few hours ago – using Prezi to aid his speech! TEDIndia shares “ideas worth spreading” about the unmistakable shift of influence to the east this year.

Rob arrived to the conference venue yesterday, and sent over a few nice images he has taken there. He also promised to send more, so keep an eye on this photo gallery for new entries!

Congratulations Rob, looking forward to embed your TED prezi here on the blog soon!

Prezi Education for Students

Tuesday, May 26th, 2009

Our office manager, Andrea sent us the link of the best Prezi education video we have ever seen. (Actually we work in the same room all day, yet we usually communicate via Skype) Even veteran Prezi developers agree that we couldn’ have created a better educational/introduction video for Prezi than the one seen on Palm Breeze CAFE, a weekly show in the School District of Palm Beach County US.  The educational show is hosted by Lee Keller and Kim Cavanaugh, it presents an informal look at technology in education, often as it applies to this school district. The show is aired online every Wednesday, locally many times each week, and features snippets for on demand viewing as well. Check out the second part of the video too!

“Best Business Model in the World”

Wednesday, May 6th, 2009

picture-2“It’s a new service called Prezi. And it’s insanely great — the minute I saw it I had to have it, no questions asked. So, for the first time in half a decade, I found myself doing the unthinkable: paying for software” In the last few weeks we had many positive references on international news sites blogs and other media, but Umair Haque’s post on Harvard Business Publishing blog is one of the best reviews we ever had.
