Another Great User Created Prezi Guide

Wednesday, June 3rd, 2009

picture-2We’ve posted about Palm Breeze Cafe, a Florida based television and vodcast show introducing and wowing about Prezi last week.

Now we’ve found another, absolutelly brilliant Prezi guide created by Russell Tarr of Activehistory.co.uk, a british educational site offering games, virtual interviews with influential history characters, online simulations, worksheets, and other methods of bringing world history alive in the school classroom.

This guide has been created in .pdf format, and introduces the first steps of building a presentation with Prezi. It also includes a step-by-step guide with screenshots, and clear definitions of different interface elements. We really liked it, thanks for the great work!

Prezi Education for Students

Tuesday, May 26th, 2009

Our office manager, Andrea sent us the link of the best Prezi education video we have ever seen. (Actually we work in the same room all day, yet we usually communicate via Skype) Even veteran Prezi developers agree that we couldn’ have created a better educational/introduction video for Prezi than the one seen on Palm Breeze CAFE, a weekly show in the School District of Palm Beach County US.  The educational show is hosted by Lee Keller and Kim Cavanaugh, it presents an informal look at technology in education, often as it applies to this school district. The show is aired online every Wednesday, locally many times each week, and features snippets for on demand viewing as well. Check out the second part of the video too!

Video: How To Use Apple Remote With Prezi

Thursday, May 21st, 2009

One of our users, Björn Syse has created an awesome screen capture video about how to re-calibrate the Apple Remote for Prezi control. Since we receive many emails about this matter, we think this is the best way to come up with an answer. We are developing our own methods to remote control Prezi anyway, but this solution does it’s share till. The software he used is iRed Lite, a free program that remaps your Apple Remote allowing to remote control any application on your mac, even a Prezi presentation.

We have seen a workaround before about how to convert the Apple Remote to a mouse and control Prezi. If you want the details pinpointed with stills and some written explanation, check Doug Belshaw’s blogpost here. Björn’s solution is different: his method allows direct control. Congratulations Björn, your video is ablsolutely amazing. Thanks!
