Videos have become a necessary tool in both the modern workplace and classroom, especially with the rise of asynchronous communication and online learning. But not everybody wants to appear on camera all the time — and that’s okay. Regardless of whether you want to appear on camera, you can easily use Prezi Video to turn your existing Prezi and PowerPoint presentations into engaging videos. Read on to find out how.
Start with a Prezi presentation
If you don’t have a presentation yet, you can always start with a template — if you don’t want to appear on camera, then we suggest picking a template where the content is spread out across the screen. We have templates that cover a wide range of use cases, from sales pitches and marketing strategies to lesson plans and school reports. From there, follow our guide on creating a presentation in Prezi Present (or watch our tutorial videos) to use Prezi’s unique features and animations to their full potential.
An important thing to keep in mind is you don’t need to cram all your information into your presentation. Because this is a narrated video, you can add just enough context to help your audience follow along, and then let your narration do the heavy lifting.

Start recording your video
Once you’re done adding your content, it’s time to record in Prezi Video, which is included for free with your Prezi license. Simply select “Create video” from the top toolbar, then select the option to only add your voice. For more tips, check out our guide for adding voiceover. Don’t worry about nailing it on your first try — even after practicing, you can always trim the beginning or end of your video, or pause as you record.
When you’re satisfied with your voiceover, save your video and you’ll have an awesome video ready to share! Add a title, a description, and some relevant tags, then send the link to anyone, share it on social media, or embed it on your website or blog.
Ready to appear on camera?
If you want something more personalized, try appearing on screen alongside your content. We recommend starting with a video-optimized template, but you can use the same guides above to create your content. You can easily switch between showing you next to your content, only you, or only your content at any time as you record, so feel free to experiment with what feels most natural for you.
Presentation videos are a great way to guide your audience through your content without having to present live. Plus, they can easily rewatch and review the content at their leisure. Try turning your presentation into a video today.
