One of the most important factors for effective classrooms is the teacher-to-student connection. As classes grapple with online learning environments, it can be challenging to maintain that connection. That’s why we’re happy to announce Prezi Video’s integration with Microsoft Teams. Prezi Video allows you to quickly and easily record videos with you and any text, images, and graphics in just a few clicks.
Add the Prezi Video app to Microsoft Teams to bring you, your content, and your students together in Teams. Students can easily do the same to show their learning on video in any Teams channel. Plus, it’s free to educators and students.
Teachers and students have been using Prezi Video to create online learning assignments, flip classrooms, bring storytime online, and share mini-lectures ahead of class discussions. In these examples, you can see how teachers are creatively using Prezi Video — and now this can be done without leaving Teams.
Here’s a quick demo of how it works:
As you think about working with your students in Teams and using video, here are three ideas:
- Create short daily or weekly updates with what you will be focusing on. Use visuals to reinforce the message. The videos can be saved for later in their chats and easily reviewed by students.
- When starting a new assignment with your students, grab images or even the assignment sheet itself and show it in your video. This will help to key learners visually and auditorily on what to focus on in the assignment.
- Many kids like to create their own videos. Have them reflect on their reading and share their thoughts (and maybe an important quote or two) on video. For the camera-shy kids, they can make the content full-screen and record it as a voice-over.
