The day that we’ve all been waiting for has finally arrived—it’s time to announce the best prezis of 2015.
We at Prezi have spent the past two weeks combing through your nominations. We saw persuasive pitch decks, interactive prezumés, creative educational prezis, and a bevy of beautiful designs… It certainly wasn’t easy, but after much deliberation, our judges have finally chosen the best prezis of the year. The winners of the 2015 Prezi Awards are here.
Before we unveil the winning prezis, we want to extend our thanks to you for making this all possible. Back in October, we asked you to nominate the best prezis for our awards—and boy, did you deliver! With over 5,600 submissions, this year has been the most competitive Prezi Awards in history. We wish that we could recognize all of our favorites of the bunch, but we needed to pick just five winners. We left the sixth up to you—the votes are in, and the People’s Choice Award winner can truly be called the most popular prezi of the year.
And now, without further ado, here are the six best prezis of 2015—head to our site to see the winners, or continue reading below:
BEST OVERALL DESIGN
The best prezi of the year is a coveted category—it takes creativity, skill, and and hard work to create a design worthy of winning this title. This year, we are thrilled to name Heimathafen by Anna Bojti and Inka Vigh as the winner. Love this prezi? Tweet it out!
Why we love it: This prezi is an amazing example of visual storytelling. Anna took a more engaging and playful approach to a sales pitch with this prezi, using Prezi’s zooming canvas to lead her audience through a story of a pirate seeking design services. BEST BUSINESS PREZI
There were so many amazing pitch decks and company overview presentations to choose from, it was difficult to pick a winner in this category. Our judges finally ended up selecting CEVA Logistics Maarssen by the designers at Prezify.nl as the best prezi of the year in the Business category. Love this prezi? Tweet it out!
Why we love it: This prezi is far more engaging than your average company onboarding presentation. Instead of running through bullet-pointed lists, this prezi takes viewers on a virtual tour of the CEVA Logistics’ office in Maarssen, NL—far more memorable than a text-heavy presentation.
BEST EDUCATIONAL PREZI
Want to learn something new? Take a look at the best prezi in the Educational category for 2015: The Amazing Human Body by Mr. Prezident. Love this prezi? Tweet it out!
Why we love it: This prezi brings facts and figures to life by translating them into visuals that are far more memorable than the raw numbers. By zooming in on the different parts of the body, this prezi helps us understand all of the information in context. The nifty 3D background also adds visual interest that keeps viewers engaged—learn how to use 3D backgrounds in your own presentations.
BEST ZOOM
All of the prezis we’ve highlighted so far make great use of Prezi’s canvas, but the winner of this category stands out as a particularly great example of effective zooming. Take a look at Malmaison & Hotel du Vin Prezi Design by Josh Bonito. Love this prezi? Tweet it out!
Why we love it: This prezi uses stunning, layered photography to maintain a high resolution as it zooms in on different images. The result? A beautifully branded introduction to a hospitality company.
BEST REUSABLE DESIGN
2015 has been a good year for community-created templates—earlier this year, we saw some of your amazing designs in the Prezi Design Challenge. This year’s winner of the Best Reusable Design award is a new one: Climb to Success by Prezibase. Love this prezi? Tweet it out!
Why we love it: With loads of extra symbols and graphics for you to play around with, this prezi design is easy to customize to fit your presentation needs, whatever they may be. Go ahead, make a copy and start using this template for your next presentation!
PEOPLE’S CHOICE AWARD
The votes are in, and the winner of the 2015 People’s Choice Award—the most popular prezi of the year—is Canal+ by Presente.pl / Ziload.com! With over 1,700 of votes, this prezi impressed not only our judges but also our community, making it a big winner in our book.
Congratulations to all the winners, and a big thank you to our community for making another year of Prezi Awards a resounding success. We would also like to extend a special thank you to all of our Prezi Experts, who have spent the past year working tirelessly to create engaging, beautiful prezis for everyone.
