For many sales teams, trade shows offer a golden opportunity to connect with key customers and gain valuable brand exposure. But it’s not easy to stand out from the competition, especially when you’re trapped behind a booth.
If you want to make the most of your next trade show, you need to develop a more dynamic sales pitch. Harlan Eplan, Director of Sales Enablement at Verifone, recently shared his company’s story of running a booth at NRF’s Big Show, one of the biggest events of their sales cycle each year. His top tips for creating a winning presentation for this audience include:
- Visual: Create a presentation that will help you stand out from the crowd by making it visual and engaging. Ditch the bullet points for interactive touch screens that your prospects can explore.
- Mobile: Make sure your presentation is mobile-friendly so your sales team will be able to pitch to people as they pass by, rather than being stuck behind a table or next to a screen at your booth. (This will also come in handy when it’s time for business dinners or other networking events that occur outside trade show hours.)
- Quick: Present the information you want to share non-linearly. This approach is key because it will allow your sales reps to quickly guide people to the pieces of content they’re most interested in, keeping the conversation organic and relevant.
